From Clicks to Clients: 6 Essential Tips for Improving Your Human Design Practitioner Website

I’ve reviewed some of your homepages and thought I’d share some of my experience on how to improve them. We’ll help drive traffic to your Human Design Practitioner directory profile, which leads to your website, but many sites aren’t converting well. Find out how to change that and maximize your online presence.

Hi everyone,

If you’ve already submitted your Human Design Practitioners directory entries, thank you! If you haven’t shared your photos yet, please email them to us.

We’re dedicated to driving traffic not just to the directory in general but also to your individual profile page (See example). However, there are a few things to consider. I’ve reviewed some of your homepages and thought I’d share some of my experience on how to improve them.

Please take this very seriously; I’ve learned many lessons over two decades in this field. It works!

Here are some simple rules to help you convert website visitors into clients:

1. Avoid creating giant header images for your homepage

Many visitors use small laptop screens, so avoid creating giant header images. Stats show that 80% of people don’t scroll down to find your call-to-action button. This is real data from Hotjar. Check out other well-performing businesses; they keep actions at the top of the page.

2. Single Focus on Your Homepage

Many of you offer multiple calls to action with too many services to choose from on your homepage. Instead, focus on one clear goal: get something for free first. Don’t try to sell straight away. Keep your message focused on one action.

One option convert visitors to clients faster.

Think about how you feel when shopping and faced with multiple options—how long do you spend deciding? If you don’t help visitors decide quickly, they will leave your website. Time is crucial.

To understand and improve this, install Google Analytics and track your “Bounce Rate.” A high bounce rate indicates that visitors are leaving your site quickly, often due to confusion or too many choices. Simplifying your homepage can significantly reduce this rate, keeping visitors engaged and more likely to convert.

3. Improve Generate Chart Pages

Most of your chart pages won’t generate any results as they currently stand. To be honest, I spent several minutes on some of your websites just trying to find where I can generate a chart. That’s a lot of time for a visitor, and most won’t be that patient.

Here’s what to do:

▶️ Prominent Chart Form: Display the chart form prominently on the first page area. It should be visible as soon as the page loads.

▶️ Clear Introduction: Clearly state who you are and why the visitor needs this. Explain the benefits and value of generating their chart.

▶️ Offer Value: Provide something valuable for free in exchange for their email, like a personalized report or a brief consultation.

By making these changes, you can significantly improve user experience and conversion rates. Visitors will appreciate the clear and immediate access to the chart form and understand the benefits of engaging with your services.

4. Niche Expertise

You might think the competition among Human Design practitioners is too high. This is not true. There are billions of people and relatively few practitioners.

Successful businesses today have a laser focus on niche markets or specific problems.

For example, if you specialize in Human Design, Astrology, or Gene Keys, combine this with addressing real people’s problems. Work on your content and refine your message. Become an expert in a small field. It’s scary at first, but with networking and focused content, you’ll find many people with specific needs. I have created a list of the most common problems that you can solve using Human Design: here.

5. Offering Personal HD Readings?

For 1:1 reading pages, use a clear and user-friendly booking system. Relying on emails for scheduling isn’t sustainable long-term. Instead, implement an online booking system that allows clients to easily schedule appointments.

Here’s why and how to improve:

▶️ Offer a Free Client Assessment Call: Potential clients are more likely to book a paid session after a 10-minute free discussion about how you can help them. This initial call helps build trust and allows clients to understand the value you provide.

▶️ Real-Life Example: Imagine a busy professional, Sarah, who wants to understand how Human Design can help her manage stress better. She visits your website and sees a clear “Book a Free 10-Minute Assessment Call” button. Intrigued, she schedules a call. During the call, you explain how understanding her unique design can provide personalized strategies for stress management. Impressed by the insights, Sarah decides to book a full session to dive deeper into her Human Design chart.

▶️ Automate Reminders: Use the booking system to send automatic reminders to clients about their upcoming appointments. This reduces no-shows and keeps your schedule organized.

▶️ Collect Relevant Information Upfront: When clients book their free assessment call, ask them to provide some basic information about their concerns and what they hope to achieve. This allows you to tailor the conversation and make the most of the 10-minute call.

▶️ Integrate with Your Calendar: >Ensure that your booking system integrates with your calendar to avoid double bookings and to keep track of your availability.

User-Friendly Reading Reports

Although this post focuses on websites, I want to share something about Reading Reports as well.

Reading reports are great but often written in complex language. Make them easy to understand so clients can refer back to them more than once.

I personally love the ACTION LIST or TODO approach in my reading report. It speaks my language and serves as a weekly reminder of who I am.

Summary:
Your business needs constant attention, and so does your website. Where you focus your efforts is where you see results. Regularly review and update your website to ensure it remains effective in converting visitors to clients.
