We asked our Bodygraph.com community what you wanted most – funnels that convert. This article brings together the three-part podcast series into one clear, actionable guide you can use to build a simple sales system that grows your list, sells your offers, and still feels like you. No fluff – just steps you can implement today.
What is a funnel
Picture a funnel – wide at the top for many leads, narrow at the bottom for buyers. A funnel is a guided conversation that builds trust and moves people toward one clear next step. It is a sales mechanism – but it does not have to feel gross. Done right, it feels like a relationship with your best fit people.
Your first funnel – the welcome sequence
- Deliver the freebie fast – set expectations for what comes next.
- Introduce yourself through a story – teach a lesson – invite a next step.
- Seed one offer only – who it is for and the problem it solves.
- Share social proof – short testimonials or quick case notes.
- Repeat the offer – add gentle urgency – clearly state what happens next.
Tip – your email list costs time and money. Aim for buyers, not just browsers. It is buy or bounce and both are okay.
Anatomy of a funnel that converts
1 – One clear entry point
Every funnel starts with a specific opt in – a chart run, quiz, webinar, or lead magnet. Match your emails to that entry point so subscribers feel seen.
2 – One goal and one offer
Each funnel sells one thing – a report, a reading, a course, or a membership. Stay focused so the path is obvious.
3 – Belief shifting content
Move beyond surface objections like time and money. Reframe the deeper belief that keeps them stuck – worthiness, visibility, or fear of being seen. When the belief shifts, the sale becomes an easy yes.
4 – Paint the after picture
The brain is wired for possibility. Describe life after the offer – more clarity in decisions, calmer relationships, aligned work. Use short stories and specific images.
5 – Prove it works
- Mini case study – problem – method – result.
- 1 to 2 punchy testimonials.
- Why your approach is different – keep it simple.
6 – Make the offer unmistakable
- Send at least one straight sales email – clear call to action.
- Use limited time bonuses or a short discount to create movement.
- Remove buyers from the sequence automatically so they do not get repeated promos.
7 – Stack your funnels
When they buy, start a new sequence that helps them use what they bought – then invite the next step. Your ecosystem becomes a golden pathway, not a one off promotion.
Write for skimmers and real humans
- One idea per email – one job per paragraph.
- Short sentences – white space – simple language.
- Open loops in subject lines – tease what is coming next.
- Segment by interest so people receive only what fits them.
Make it energetic and aligned with your Human Design
Use your environment to create
Create where you thrive. Markets environment – write after a cafe session or a browse through local shops. Caves – quiet nook with noise control. Shores – co work near water or switch spaces. Let your space fuel your words.
Honor your split
Single definition – shorter deep work blocks. Split or wide split – draft in public energy or with your favorite people, then refine solo. Triple or quad split – move between spaces or cohorts to integrate before you finalize.
Let your profile speak in your copy
- 1 line – bring researched depth, then add one story to humanize it.
- 2 line – keep it simple and natural – write when called, not forced.
- 3 line – test subject lines and timing – share lessons from tries and fails.
- 4 line – invite community – ask for replies and share peer wins.
- 5 line – say the hard truth with care – position your practical solution.
- 6 line – show the long view – before – during – after arcs build trust.
Keep the simple story spine in every email
- Tell a story – real life moment – emoji welcome if it fits 😊
- Teach a lesson – one insight the reader can use today
- Sell a thing – one clear next step
Quick build checklist – start today
- Pick one offer to sell for 14 days – report, reading, or course.
- Map 5 emails – deliver, story, belief shift, proof, offer with urgency.
- Set tags to remove buyers from the promo sequence automatically.
- Add a banner or PS in each email that links to your main offer.
- Schedule – test cadence daily or every 2 to 3 days – watch reply and click rates.
- Celebrate each email you finish – a walk, a song, a cupcake – lock in momentum 🎉
